For me Scented Granules really are a great idea so I decided to make some of my own -
so this is what I needed
1 bag of Dishwasher Salt Granules (not flakes)
A choice of scented Oils
and food colouring
I measured on 300 grams of the granules and poured them into a jar and then added the whole bottle of scented oil and then food colouring (as much or as little as you want).
Place the lid on the jar and shake as much as possible so the colour and oil blend very well......line a baking tray with tin foil or baking paper and pour the granules evenly over the surface - let dry in a safe place for 24-48 hours.
Once dried pour the granules carefully back into a clean jar and place on the lid.

I made Sweetpea, Lemon and Lime, Bubble Gum and Pear Drops.
I will be sending some for a couple of my friends to try so I spooned some of each scent into little bags and labelled them which looks very nice indeed.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic and simple DIY project! Making your own scented simmering granules is a fun and cost-effective way to fill your home with delightful fragrances. I love how you’ve chosen classic, sweet scents like Sweetpea, Lemon and Lime, Bubble Gum, and Pear Drops—perfect for creating a cozy atmosphere. The use of dishwasher salt granules is a clever choice since they’re easy to work with and hold the scent so well.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the idea of gifting these homemade granules in little bags with labels is such a thoughtful touch! If you're looking to add more aromatic gifts, consider pairing these granules with a special fragrance, like Top Perfumes For Women to make the experience even more luxurious for your friends. Happy crafting!
Wow, what a fun and creative idea! I love the idea of making my own scented simmering granules — it sounds like a simple and enjoyable project, especially with the different fragrance options you’ve made like Sweetpea and Lemon & Lime. This reminds me of how important scents are in our daily lives, much like the ones in the Top Perfumes For Women. I can’t wait to try this at home!
